Serenity House Ministry was started by Carrie Anne Ulloa in 1987. She
found there were three developmentally disabled adults living at Serenity
House who would like to come to Mass on a regular basis. She arranged to
have their van drive them to St. Cecilia’s in time for the 10:00 AM Mass
and pick them up afterward at around 11:00 AM. Those who assist with
these adults help them to Holy Communion and usually sit with them during
the Mass. Serenity House is located across the street from the Lynwood
Center Theater. Occasionally, residents of Serenity House attend daily
Mass or Communion Service on Tuesdays.
