St. Cecilia's has been a long-standing supporter of Boy and Girl Scouting programs. From 1953 until the late 1970's the parish sponsored Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop 574. In 1998, se sponsored newly formed Cub Scout Pack 4547 under the leadership of Cubmaster/parishioner Rick Baker and the enthusiastic backing of Fr. Donald Conger. From 1989-91 Pack 4547 was one of the largest in the Chief Seattle Council, having over 80 boys and 30 registered adult leaders.

The current Cubmaster is Greg Hepp (842-1721), the Committee Chair is Stephnilee Libby (780-5939), and the Chartered Organization is Patrick Vasicek (842-6971). Pack 4547 is one of four Cup Scout Packs on the Island; the others are sponsored by American Post 172, Rollin Bay Presbyterian Church, and the LDS Bainbridge Island Ward. Boy Scouts have made significant contributions to the Parish. Among the most notable are Eagle Projects that designed purchased, and installed the Church's original computer system (Drew Kellogg); Rectory's backyard fence (Jimmy Nagle), landscaping and deck (Kenyon Kellogg); Blessed Mother's grotto and courtyard (Walter Warren); North parking lot (John Nagle); sign on Madison Avenue (Jon Kellogg); landscaping in the main parking lot (Patrick Raymond); and handicapped access ramp and trash dumpster enclosure (Steve Nagle).

The parish has also historically been a strong supporter of Girl Scouting, providing meeting places and resources as necessary. For many years St. Cecilia's was a major supporter of the Girl Scout Sunday anniversary celebrations held in March. For more information on Girl Scouting, contact Nancy Russell (842-1730).
