The St. Cecilia organ was built by Frans W. M. Bosman and associates. It is Opus 7 for the firm. The tonal and physical designs are by Mr. Bosman. He was assisted throughout the construction, voicing and tuning phases by Roman Guenther, Mark Vik, and Tracey Flint.

The organ, financed entirely by donations, was acquired in 1989. The 1940s-era console was rebuilt in 1993 to include all electric switching.

The Organ Builder

Frans Bosman is a native of the Netherlands. While attending music conservatory, he discovered the art of organ building and subsequently spent two years with Flentrop Orgelbouw, followed by two more years with Verschueren Orgelbouw, where he specialized in the restoration of historic organs. In 1979, he founded Frans W. M. Bosman Orgelbouw, and thereafter devoted his efforts to designing and building new organs.

In 1981, he relocated his business - Frans W. M. Bosman and associates - to the United States. The business is now located in Mosier, Oregon.
