MONOGRAPH--a scholarly article on a specific and usually limited subject.

LITTLE MONOGRAPH--a short monograph or procedure detailing a set of instructions for a specific task or application.

The Church Management Monographs section is an attempt to provide our local parish with the informational resources necessary to create useful, informative, and pertinent management guides and operating instructions for our parish's needs. Although the monographs presented here are not necessarily applicable to all parishes, they provide a concept or model from which locally tailored documents may be fashioned or further developed.

We initiated our search for useful sources, first by looking at what we currently have available in our parish, and then elsewhere. We look for information applicable to our parish's needs and general excellence in presentation for determining suitability for inclusion in this series. Obviously, local parish generated documents are of particular relevance to our members. We hope others may also find them useful in developing guidelines in their churches.
