MONTHLY MEETING

 

April 3, 2010

 

 

 

ATTENDANCE:

 

Meeting called to order at 10: 05 a.m. by Grand Knight, Richard Hassell, also present were: Leo Schilling, Daniel Luzzo, Dennis Crossland, Paul Vitello, Robert, Anthony Farrell, Gene Mc Gowan.

 

MINUTES:

 

Minutes of March 6 2010 were read by Daniel Luzzo, approved by Leo and seconded by Anthony Farrell and approved by all.

 

ADMISSIONS:  

Paul Viello, informed Knights that Brother Arul Madauadigan has requested to be a new Knight / Motion made and approve by all.

 

Paul Viello, reported he as been in contact and will send letters to prospective new Knights.

 

GRAND KNIGHT:

 

Grand Knight Dick Hassell, reported that this is the year of the Priest.

And for the needs for religious studies.

 

A motion was made by Dick Hassell and 2nd by Dennis Crossland to make Gene Mc Gowan Vocation Chairman to promote, for new Priest and Deacons. (All Approved)

 

A letter requesting support for project Rachael was read by Brother Luzzo. Knights will discuss it in May.

 

Notional Convention in May. Brother Anthony Farrell in thinking of going.

Dead line for registration is May 1, 2010.

 

TRUSTEE: No report.

  

CHAPLAIN: Non attendance

 

TREASURER: No report, Rudy Rimando is in the Philippines. /excused

 

COMMUNICATION:

 

FINANCIAL: Grant Courtney, Out of town / excused

 

Brother Luzzo, reported that there are no outstanding bills.

 

(Question should we carnie unpaid members?) On going.

 

 

SERVICE COMMITTEE:  See Admissions.

 

RECRUITMENT: See Admission.

 

UNFINISHED BUINESS:

Brother Luzzo, reported that 250,000 of 500,000 funds were raised for art and landscaping for the new Faith Center.

 

  

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Carrie from the catechisms class requested that the Knights provide religious studies books for new school Catechist.

 

A motion was made by Dick Hassell and 2nd by Gene Mc Gowan for $450.00 & shipping for 150 books. Approved by all.

 

A motion was made by Leo Schilling and 2nd by Dennis Crossland, for $1,500.00 for three Seminarian vocation students. Motion was approved one no.

 

Knight will sponsor dinners May 8th and June 12th.

 

Brother Vetello, noted that Knights have $3790.00 in checking and expenses of $1,500.00 Seminarian and 500.00 Books for an est. of 1790.00 in funds.

Pray for church members that are sick or have passed away.
